A German Christmas and a Bengali New Year

This post is old and I didn't realize it has been sitting in my 'drafts' for two months! So here it is:

It was a much need break for students and the heat.... Well sort of. I was able to spend Christmas in Germany with my parents and 'enjoy' the cold weather and even some snow! My little brother came for the last few days I was in country and it was wonderful to be able to spend some time with him.

We were able to go to the Christmas market, see the Berlin wall memorial and go to Poland for my wedding shower! My mom put together a somewhat surprise wedding shower for me with all of my "aunties" I grew up with when I had lived in Czech years ago. Here are some pictures from my trip:

After the longest layover in Turkey I was finally back in the tropics to spend New Years with my Fiance. It was laid-back and relaxing, a wonderful way to start to an exciting new year. I was also able to spend a few days in Khulna and watch Alpha lead worship at his church. I love watching my husband-to-be doing what he loves.

After our three week vacation it was time to get back to work. I am now the EAL (English as an Additional Language) teacher at Grace International School and have 16 students with different levels of English I am helping one on one through out the week. It was been wonderful getting to know the primary students and I look forward to helping them improve their English and thrive in their classes.
